Grief As It Drips

Grief as it drips,

And melts the snow,

Like memory burning

As ice on fire;

Regret and loss,

Remorse and sadness,

Eating at the heart

Like the dripping snow

Through winter without end

Winter that goes on

And on forever:

Sadness and pain

Melt in intensity.
