On Hearing Songs By Robert Burns

Sweet lilting beauty

Touches you with sadness of other worlds

O lovely sadness

Takes me to the waters and beyond

Divine beauty of the evening

Flying swans upon a rippling loch

There is no word that rounds it up

No end to wonder and beauty
