Glasgow In June

When the sun shines here it is really good -

Hot and burning through the clear air,

Spinning in rare, blue, beautiful sky

Translucent and special in high summer.

Shouts and squawks through the raucous warmth

Speak of how it could be like ltaly,

Cheeky screams from summery girls

Show how fun is brought out instantly by the sun.

There are singing birds in the deep green trees

Only a few yards from Great Western Road;

The dead, grey, dreary, polluted din

ls banished by shimmering leaves, and light.
