A beggar in the gutter sees an old oppressor -
An employer, who threw him out of work -
And leaps as if from a laired cave
Like a dog revenging himself at the calf
Of a bull, and as the amazed victim
Of attack tries to kick back
He lunges again with supercharged furious
Power, sprung like a cosmic spring
Of fireworked hatred, a forked elastic
Sting-back boomerang, digging in
With fangs at the rich man´s sudden wounds,
And feels his pent-up anguish let
lnto the fresh air, as he sees the sun
Set in the sky, now become beautiful.
